Frequently asked questions
Why do you sell ZeroWaste clothing?
We do this to give (new) life and love to clothes that would “normally” go to waste, to extend product life, and to achieve zero waste in our supply chain. And we want to give you, our dear customer, the chance to explore "perfectly imperfect" unique activewear, to give it a new home and at an attractive price.
Luckily, we have material and production partners that produce high quality materials and garments so we have relatively few items with any blemishes to begin with. To prevent them from not finding an owner and going to waste, we want to offer these to you for a reduced price.
What includes your ZeroWaste clothing?
Our ZeroWaste Shop includes items that are one of the following:
- Materials and products with small blemishes. These include products made by our production partners that have minor imperfections. In very rare cases these are also return products from a customer that has a minor blemish and that we wouldn't sell for the full price. We describe these in more detail in the product descriptions.
- Prototypes. As part of our product development and testing process, we create the "pre-production-version" of our products that (almost) look like and have the same “contents” as our original clothes. You can find more details on how they differ from our original products in their product description.
Are your ZeroWaste pieces made out of the same materials as your regular activewear?
Yes, they are all made from the same materials and all produced in Europe.
Are your ZeroWaste pieces clean?
The majority of our ZeroWaste pieces have never been worn before and came out like that right from the factory, just like our regular clothing.
Our prototypes and very few returned items have mainly been worn only a very short time and only to try them on, so no sweating etc. They have been refreshed so they are good to wear.
Why is there so much waste caused by the fashion industry, and how do you tackle it?
Waste is a huge problem in the fashion industry. The main reasons for that are the rise of fast fashion with its ever-changing trends and the immense over-production of clothing that never or only hardly gets worn. Unfortunately, burning clothes is also a common practice in the industry to rid brands from unsellable stock or to main brand exclusivity.
To tackle this problem at the very root, we design our activewear for timelessness and longevity over fast-changing trends, cherry-pick our materials, and produce only as much as we believe can be realistically sold. And those pieces that are prototypes or that have slight blemishes we sell as part of our ZeroWaste initiative.
Can I return ZeroWaste products?
Yes, you can return ZeroWaste products the same way as you can return our regular products - please see our return policyfor further information.
